Training in Action!
This past summer Hedwig House staff was certified in CPR and First Aid. Through grant funding from our Health and Wellness Initiative, Hedwig House was able to provide this training, and purchase 6 AED machines! Several weeks ago this training was put into action in Abington when a Hedwig House member began to choke on their lunch. The staff there was able to use teamwork to help this person, and stop their chocking. Each staff member played a specific role in doing this and the member was helped. This just goes to show the importance of CPR and First Aid training. Hedwig House is glad to have such a wonderful and dedicated staff who works as a team to look out for the best interest of our members!
